  • WORLD FIRST. Modular Container

    Thursday, September 4, 2014
Genpower Australia were approached by ELTEK with a problem. A 10ft containerized FG Wilson generator was required to be installed on top of a mountain in PNG for a Telecoms company. One issue...no single part of the unit could be in excess of 700 Kilos. Genpower Australia went back to the drawing board and designed a "modular" type 10ft container complete with 2000L fuel tank, bund and other ancillaries capable of being lifted to site in parts by helicopter. The Unit was installed by KORDIA at site who made the whole project seem too easy!

  • The sky's the limit!

    Monday, October 17, 2011
Genpower has recently completed an installation at Primus Telecom within the Adelaide CBD.
This installation was particularly interesting in that the rooftop opening, situated some ten stories high, was restricted to the dimensions of a 200Kva open set. The customer required a canopied, silenced unit within the plant room. FG Wilsons new "Lean 2B" genset line has the ability to disconnect the canopy with ease. Genpower disconnected and "flat packed" the canopy which was passed through the opening and fitted back on to the genset once inside the plantroom. This all happened like clockwork early on a Sunday morning.
  • One Lucky Genset!

    Monday, October 17, 2011
Genpower Australia were approached by Sanbis resort in the Solomon islands for a small and extremely quiet genset for a Villa being built on the resort complex.
This 500 kilo unit had to be landed on the beach and literally lifted onto its platform some metres away. These "CAE" units are designed to be taken apart and put back together with some ease. Luckily they were able to lift the genset in it's entirety with the help of some muscle!
The genset can be started and stopped via a remote switch situated next to the main bed from inside the villa.
we think you'll agree that this could well be the luckiest genset to have ever left Genpower Australia!
