ElectraNet Containerised Climate Control Shelter

Thursday, August 25, 2022

Genpower Australia has successfully delivered containerised shelter projects to ElectraNet, on time and on budget, from mechanical design to building automation programming.
ElectraNet has approached Genpower Australia for bespoke shelters that may be deployed in remote unmanned areas where the indoor temperature must be maintained autonomously and versatile power-up options must be considered. Genpower Australia has manufactured many different containerised shelter packages, but this specific requirement has brought several mechanical and especially electrical and control design challenges that we had to find resolutions for.

Modicon (TM) M241 PLC has been selected to be central control & remote access platform for climate control, fire & security alarm interfacing and lighting control of the shelters. Genpower Australia has also offered full mechanical design using state-of-the-art SolidWorks (TM) design tool. Together with the fact that the entire process, from metal fabrication and painting through to electrical installation and PLC coding & debugging, was carried out under one roof, ElectraNet has expressed their pleasure of working with us. After numerous factory visits by ElectraNet for design reviews, prototype evaluations, work inspections and project handover, the containerised shelters project was claimed to be a success, on time and on budget.

We are happy to visit you to discuss your containerized requirement and provide a solution that goes above and beyond your expectations.
